Facebook Fanpages NEW Timelines

Hello. Just a quick post. Facebook is release a new layout for fanpages. The timeline layout that are available for personal facebook pages will now be available for fanpages as of March 30, 2012. As with any change there will be opportunities and challenges to maintain your brand.

One of the major changes I want you all to be awayre of is the cover photo. Facebook has specific things that cannot be included in your cover photo:

coupons — your cover photo cannot be a coupon or a discount offer
do not make it text base
do not infringe on any copyrights
Pricing and purchase information are a no no
Contact info not allowed — this means no email address, website address, or location. This should be included in the About section of your Fan Page
Incentives for users to share or like your post or page, contest, promotion
Call’s to action are a no no — such as “Download this” and “Call Now”

Basically…use an image. Be creative. Limit the text.
